About us
It’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

Who we are
In the heat of the moment and in a short period of time, we find ourselves facing heavy procedures that make this period even more painful. Separate Ways accompanies the deceased relatives so that they can approach the grief more calmly.
Our mission
To serve the bereaved, with sensitivity and professionalism, so they may cope with the parting of their loved one in peace and dignity.
Created in 2016 in Geneva, Separate Ways is the first service provider to offer funeral organization support and administrative assistance. We are not a funeral home because we do not take care of the deceased, we are however at families’ disposal to guide them through this difficult time and process. It is indeed common for relatives to be overwhelmed at the loss of a loved one and disconcerted by the unfamiliar and numerous formalities to be managed. In addition to our expertise in event planning, we are committed to listening to and respecting the bereaved’s wishes while offering personalized and quality services.
Founder
Geraldine Juge, counselor in funeral and administrative procedures
Having graduated from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in 2011, I have since accumulated eight years of professional experience during which I discovered different aspects of hospitality and event management both in Switzerland and abroad. I have always been drawn to professions centered on human relations, I am also an entrepreneur at heart and so it was natural for me to develop an activity in which I could provide support to others. Following the difficulties encountered at the death of one of my relatives, it became evident that I should use this personal experience, along with my professional knowledge, to allow others a more serene and dignified experience when confronted with the passing of a loved one. My past training in hospitality, my personal experience and attributes have indeed prepared me for such a role and to further extend my qualifications in this special environment, I trained in communication and management of bereavement.
Paying tribute to the deceased is essential, but the organization can be strenuous and requires a lot of energy which the family and relatives often find difficult to muster in this time of grief. Having a qualified person take charge of the logistics and procedures during this stressful time relieves the family and gives them the time and emotional space to pull through this period of bereavement more serenely and confidently.
